Salvage Technique for Akreos IOL Fixation

Dr. Shweta Dhiman and colleagues demonstrate a technique to fixate an Akreos IOL. The Gore-Tex suture is passed through the haptics using the handshake technique and taken out through respective side ports made 3 mm behind the limbus. In cases where the suture is inadvertently cut or with accidental suture loss, this technique can prevent undesired complications associated with IOL explantation.
