Salvaging a Sinking Ship

In this case, the patient presented with a colobomatous NS grade 2 cataract. The procedure planned was one of vitrectomy assisted phacoemulsification where a trocar and anterior vitrectomy is used to due to the anterior and posterior communication existing at the colobomatous sites.
