In this clinical video, Drs. Mohamed Adenwalla and Benjamin Reiss implant an aniridia IOL to help recreate an iris in a patient who had sustained a ruptured globe injury. The surgeons prepared the anterior chamber for insertion of a custom-ordered IOL from OPHTHEC, which had a horizontal diameter of 9.0 mm and could not be folded. After positioning the IOL, the Gore-Tex sutures were adjusted and tied down, and corneal sutures were placed.
