A 51-year-old woman lost approximately one third of her iris stroma when it became engaged with the phaco tip during cataract surgery, resulting in severe light sensitivity. In this video, Dr. Michael Snyder repairs her iris using a silicone iris prosthesis made by a highly skilled artisan. Postoperatively, the patient’s photic symptoms were eliminated, and she was very pleased with the cosmetic appearance as well.
