Surgical Excision of Bilateral Persistent Pupillary Membranes

This short video shows excision of persistent dense persistent pupillary membranes ( PPM) in a high myopic male. Cataract removal with IOL placement is expected to help improve the VA due to the high myopia correction and removal of associated anterior lens opacities. PPM was removed through cutting the attachments to the iris surface using a scissor.
