Drs. Rehan Hussain and Harry Flynn Jr. present a surgical case of a patient with severe proliferative diabetic retinopathy and prominent neovascularization of the disc and other areas. They remove posterior cortical vitreous, including the neovascular fronds, and perform panretinal photocoagulation. The vitreomacular traction was relieved, allowing the patient's visual acuity to improve from 20/200 to 20/150 after 2 months.
