    Traumatic Lenticonus

    Cataract/Anterior Segment

An extremely unusual case of lenticular incarceration in a healed, full-thickness corneal laceration is shown. In retroillumination a crystal clear lens is visible but as you sweep the slit lamp, tenting of the anterior lens is clearly discernible and, in the video, pegging of anterior capsule to the posterior cornea is more evident. Clarity of the lens was odd and complicated decision making. The patient was a 7-year old boy who had sustained a penetrating injury with a knife more than 3 months ago.
