Endoscope Assisted Carlevale Lens Implantation in Patients Without Capsular Support

    7th Annual Global Video Contest
    Cataract/Anterior Segment, Retina/Vitreous

There are several options for surgical management of aphakia when the capsular support is inadequate or absent. Carlevale lens seems to be the best surgical solution and can provide promising results regarding efficacy and safety. Microendoscopic imaging enables visualization of those tissues that cannot be seen using the operating microscope. Using intraocular endoscopy is the only way to ensure the correct positioning of the Carlevale lens through direct visualization and avoid potential complications.
