What the Patient Sees During FLACS

Dr. Sabong Srivanannaboon conducted a survey of his patients to learn what they experience during femtosecond laser assisted cataract surgery (FLACS). While no patient reported experiencing pain, 65% reported being frightened. He created this visual simulation of FLACS to recreate what a patient will likely see, hear and feel during surgery. He hopes it will help alleviate patients’ fear.
