Zepto Capsulotomy and miLOOP Nuclear Fragmentation for Complicated Cataract Surgery

This tamsulosin patient desiring a toric IOL had a small pupil and dense lens with a poor red reflex. In contrast to using a femtosecond laser, Dr. David Chang uses the Zepto and miLOOP disposable devices to create a capsulotomy and perform full-thickness nuclear pre-chopping, respectively. The steps are performed in the normal surgical sequence following mechanical pupil expansion. Zepto (Mynosys) and miLOOP (Iantech) are both FDA approved devices that do not require patient shared billing.
