Joy is the Academy's director of coding and reimbursement. Her 30-plus years of experience in ophthalmology includes all aspects of practice management, accounting, coding and billing. Joy is the author of The Profitable Retina Practice series, contributing author to the Academy's coding products line and recipient of the Academy's Secretariat and Achievement Awards.

How does the consultation take place?
Hourly consultations are provided by phone; daily consultations can be performed virtually by phone or video conference, or on-site with a pre-planning call and a follow-up call.
How much do consultation services cost?
Hourly remote (offsite) - Academy members: $300 per hour / nonmembers: $600 per hour
Daily onsite - Academy members: $3600 / nonmembers: $7200
What's included in the price of daily onsite consultations?
One-hour pre-planning phone call
Eight hours of on-site consultation ($300 per hour for each additional hour)
Travel, lodging and meals
One hour of follow-up via phone/email to review summary report

Each private consultation is tailored towards your unique situation.
