    This review of epidemiologic literature over a 10-year period shows that diabetic retinopathy does not appear to be related to the plasma levels or dietary intake of three key micronutrients - vitamin C, vitamin E and magnesium - in subjects with diabetes. However, due to the range of studies and methods used, the authors write that they cannot rule out the possibility of a correlation.
