Retina: SD-OCT can better evaluate CNV activity after Lucentis treatment than TD-OCT

After a ranibizumab injection, researchers imaged 58 patients with time-domain optical coherence tomography (TD-OCT) and at least one of four different spectral-domain optical coherence tomography (SD-OCT) devices at the same visit. All SD-OCT devices had higher detection rates of CNV activity compared with TD-OCT. SD-OCT devices also showed significant differences from TD-OCT in center point thickness and center subfield thickness.
