Grading Inflammation in Thyroid Eye Disease

In this 1-Minute Video, Dr. Louise Mawn shares the results from the International Thyroid Eye Disease Inflammatory Reliability study. The study assessed 3 scales for grading soft tissue inflammatory and congestive signs associated with thyroid eye disease: a binary presence/absence scale, a 3-point scale and a 100-percentile scale. The results suggest that a 4-point scale would be ideal for assessing patients with thyroid eye disease.
