Surgical management of optic capture after performing an IOL scleral fixation is required to avoid pupillary block, secondary glaucoma, and uveitis-glaucoma-hyphema syndrome. The double-loop suture avoids IOL capture by forming a barrier between the IOL optic and the iris. In this video, Dr. Meriem Ouederni describes a simple technique to make a double-loop suture in an optic capture surgical correction, using a 24-gauge catheter needle as a guide.
