Visco and Air Technique for Better Visibility during Endothelium Stripping

    Cataract/Anterior Segment, Cornea/External Disease

Dr. Paulo Dantas strips host-diseased endothelium while maintaining an air bubble in the anterior chamber using a small plug of ophthalmic viscoelastic device (OVD) close to the incision, which minimizes air loss and enhances anterior chamber visibility. Air provides a better view than OVD, which may interfere with the graft attachment during a Descemet membrane endothelial keratoplasty.
