Dr. Hannah Muniz Castro describes a patient who presented with left eye redness and discomfort for 1 week and was found to have a subconjunctival worm. A conjunctival peritomy is performed and then extended to dislodge the worm completely from Tenon capsule. Morphological evaluation identified the parasite as Dirofilaria species. The patient did not require systemic treatment and maintained visual acuity of 20/20.
