Dislocated Bag and a 3-Piece Multifocal IOL

    Cataract Spotlight/AAO 2022
    Cataract/Anterior Segment, Complications, Premium IOLs

In this presentation, Dr. Brandon Ayers describes his approach for a patient with a dislocated bag. The patient had a 3-piece multifocal intraocular lens (IOL) and strongly wished to keep the same multifocal IOL. After the initial procedure, the patient experienced tilting of the IOL, leading him back into surgery. In addition to considering the surgical options throughout, an expert panel discusses how to work with patients who have strong preferences for specific treatment options.
