Infectious Keratitis after Laser Vision Correction

    Refractive Subspecialty Day 2016
    Refractive Mgmt/Intervention

Infectious keratitis after laser vision correction (LVC) occurs in approximately 1 in 2,000 cases and can result in permanent vision loss; strategies for prevention must be preoperative, intraoperative, and postoperative. Patients should be maintained on aggressive antimicrobial therapy that should be tailored according to culture results.
