Trichotillomania
Trichotillomania is characterized by the pulling out of one’s hair, often including the eyebrows and eyelashes. It may be associated with obsessive-compulsive disorder. The characteristic appearance includes madarosis, broken hairs, and regrowth of hairs of varying lengths (Fig 17-13).
