Heart Failure
In asymptomatic patients with hypertension and ventricular dysfunction, ACE inhibitors and β-blockers are recommended. In patients with symptomatic ventricular dysfunction or end-stage heart failure, ACE inhibitors, ARBs, aldosterone antagonists, loop diuretics, and β-blockers—especially carvedilol, bisoprolol, or nebivolol—are useful.
