Corneal Crosslinking Plus Refractive Procedures
Phakic Intraocular Lens Implantation and Corneal Crosslinking
Several reports have demonstrated the benefits of PIOL implantation in conjunction with CCL. In patients with keratoconus, toric posterior chamber PIOLs and foldable iris-claw PIOLs both have shown improved refractive outcomes with good safety (no loss of BCVA and no significant decrease in endothelial cell count). Neither of these PIOLs has been approved by the US FDA.
