  • Dr. Matossian is the founder and CEO of Matossian Eye Associates, an integrated ophthalmology and optometry private practice with locations in Mercer County, N.J., and Bucks County, Pa. She serves as an adjunct clinical assistant professor of ophthalmology at Temple University School of Medicine in Philadelphia; a clinical instructor in the Department of Family Medicine at Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School; and a clinical instructor at the American Academy of Family Physicians.

    Dr. Matossian has active staff privileges at Capital Health Medical Center-Hopewell in New Jersey and Doylestown Hospital in Pennsylvania and consulting privileges at the University Medical Center of Princeton at Plainsboro in New Jersey. She is also one of the founders and co-owners of the Surgery Center of Central New Jersey, an ambulatory surgery center affiliated with the Wills Eye Hospital Network. Dr. Matossian serves as the official team ophthalmologist for the Trenton Thunder, a Class AA Affiliate of the New York Yankees.

    Dr. Matossian received her medical degree from Penn State Milton S. Hershey Medical Center in Hershey. She completed her ophthalmology residency at the George Washington University Medical Center, where she served as chief resident.

    She has published extensively in peer-review journals and conducted research for multiple clinical trials. She has been named one of the Top 25 Leading Women Entrepreneurs in New Jersey, one of U.S. News & World Report’s top doctors, one of New Jersey’s Best 50 Women in Business, one of Pennsylvania’s Best 50 Women in Business, and an Outstanding Female Ophthalmic Leader. Dr. Matossian is a member of many organizations, including the prestigious American-European Congress of Ophthalmic Surgery. She is on the editorial boards of Ocular Surgery News, Ophthalmology Management and Cataract & Refractive Surgery Today, as well as a board member of the American College of Eye Surgeons.
