Dr. Arevalo received his medical degree from the Central University of Venezuela and did his ophthalmology residency at Dr. Domingo Luciani Hospital, Caracas, Venezuela. He is the chairman of the Retina and Vitreous Service, Clinica Oftalmológica Centro Caracas and founder of the Arevalo-Coutinho Foundation for Research in Ophthalmology at the University of Los Andes Caracas, Venezuela.
