  • Dr. Michael S. Lee is the director of the Neuro-ophthalmology Service in the Department of Ophthalmology at the University of Minnesota, where he holds the Reinhardt L. and Ruth H. Schmidtke Chair in Neuro-ophthalmology.

    Dr. Lee graduated with honors with a bachelor's degree in biophysics from The Johns Hopkins University. He received his medical degree from the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia, where he completed his ophthalmology residency. Dr. Lee completed a fellowship in neuro-ophthalmology at Harvard Medical School teaching hospital Massachusetts Eye & Ear Infirmary, from which he received a distinguished teaching award. He was supported by the Heed Ophthalmic Foundation and recognized as a Society of Heed Fellow.
