  • Dr. Sane is a second-year resident at Ross Eye Institute at the State University of New York at Buffalo. After completion of this residency, she plans to pursue a fellowship in cornea, lens and refractive surgery.

    As a research fellow at Smith-Kettlewell Eye Research Institute in San Francisco, she studied the effects of bupivacaine on extraocular muscles for the treatment of strabismus.

    She also completed a residency in ophthalmology, along with a fellowship in pediatric ophthalmology and strabismus, at Aravind Eye hospital in Madurai, India. She is a member of the Royal College of Ophthalmology of London and a fellow of the International Council of Ophthalmology.

    Dr. Sane has participated in many community outreach programs in rural India for screening for cataracts and other ocular diseases, and was an active team surgeon performing high-volume cataract surgery in India.
