Dr. Menapace is the chief surgeon in the department of ophthalmology at the Medical University of Vienna in Austria and head of the Vienna IOL Study Group. He received his medical degree from the University of Vienna Medical School.
He is the author of more than 140 articles in peer-reviewed journals, as well as numerous review articles and textbook contributions. His main ophthalmological interests are cataract and IOL surgery, biometry, trauma and reconstructive surgery of the anterior segment, glaucoma surgery and surgical and irradiation treatment of intraocular melanoma.
