Chandelier Scleral Buckle with Passive Subretinal Needle Drainage

Drs. Ethan Sobol and Andrew Hendrick demonstrate a method for draining subretinal fluid during a chandelier-assisted scleral buckle using a 25-gauge needle attached to a 3 mL syringe. This drainage technique offers several advantages, including the use of supplies widely available in operating rooms, controlled passive drainage of subretinal fluid, and excellent visualization.
