Dr. Richard Allen shows a corneal neurotization procedure that can be used to treat patients with neurotrophic keratopathy. The ipsilateral infraorbital nerve is used as the donor with an end-to-side coaptation using a cadaveric nerve. The first evidence of sensation is expected at about 3 months, with maximum sensation achieved at about 6 months.
