In this second-place video from the 8th Annual Global Video Contest, Dr. Fernando González del Valle and colleagues share how to manage a case of aniridia and a post-traumatic in-the-bag IOL subluxation. The in-the-bag IOL dislocation was refixated by 2 cow hitches using 10-0 polypropylene suture, grasping 1 of the haptics of the IOL and a new haptic donor that was introduced in the capsular bag. This surgical procedure allowed the implantation of a fiber-free iris prosthesis over the repaired in-the-bag IOL. The technique may be a good option to avoiding use of iris prosthesis with fiber mesh, even in absence of capsular support.
