Dr. Guy J. Ben Simon and colleagues share a relatively minimally invasive transorbital approach to remove a large optic nerve glioma in a 12-year-old with marked proptosis, globe dystopia, and poor vision. The patient's globe was preserved, as well as ocular motility, eyelid position and function, and pupillary shape and size. This technique helps avoid a more invasive and debilitating neurosurgical approach.
