Drs. Nizar Din, Maria Phylactou, Alfonso Vasquez-Perez and Bruce Allan of the United Kingdom share an innovative technique for managing macro-corneal perforations using a mini-DSAEK disc tissue through the existing perforation. This technique helps reduces the risk of complications and sequalae associated with traditional corneal tectonic grafts, improves visual acuity and leads to faster rehabilitation. They present a case series of three patients with advanced corneal pathology with good visual outcomes following this minimally invasive technique.
