Real-Time ReLEx SMILE Procedure

This short film shows a unilateral small incision lenticule extraction (ReLEx SMILE) procedure in real time. The femtosecond laser ablation is shown and the technical features of the VisuMax are described to explain why it is capable of achieving the cutting accuracy required for this procedure. The surgical technique of the lenticule separation and extraction are demonstrated and described.
