    Pigmented OSSN show hyperplastic and hyperchromatic cells, dyskeratosis, keratin pearls, loss of cellular cohesion, and atypical mitotic figures. In pigmented OSSN, the pigmentation owing to abnormal proliferation of melanocytes in the lesions are noted.
