    Cornea/External Disease, Oculoplastics/Orbit

A 9-year-old boy was playing and a wooden stick got stuck into his right orbit causing a 1 cm marginal eyelid laceration, corneo-scleral rupture with uveal prolapse, traumatic cataract, and retinal detachment. Computed tomography showed a foreign body penetrating into the vitreous cavity right eye. Intraoperatively, the wooden foreign body was removed with Adson forceps. It was 5 cm long, 2x2 cm in caliber. The eyelid and corneoscleral lacerations were repaired and combined scleral buckle-pars plana vitrectomy was performed 4 months later. At final follow-up, visual acuity was light perception in the right eye.
