Management Strategies for a Spectrum of White Cataracts

In this interview from AAO 2021, Dr. Manpreet Kaur summarizes a variety of strategies for managing white cataracts as taught in her course. Dr. Kaur explains when to use spiral and 2-stage capsulorrhexis, as well as needle aspiration of cortical fluid. Management of white or intumescent cataracts benefits from the use of pre- and intraoperative OCT, which can show the surgeon real-time dynamics of various variants of the white cataract and guide the surgical approach.
