Comparison of Teen and Infant Capsulorhexis

    By David A. Plager, MD
Cataract/Anterior Segment, Congenital Cataract, Pediatric Ophth/Strabismus

Dr. David Plager demonstrates the difference between the teen capsule and the infant capsule, which is more elastic and challenging to control during the creation of a capsulorhexis. The rhexis is completed by pulling 90 degrees away from the direction of the tear and regularly regrasping the edge with forceps.
