    Nystagmus

Congential nystagmus is a sign or finding, not a diagnosis. Clinicians should follow a rational protocol to evaluate children with nystagmus and isolate the cause. Dr. Arlene Drack provides her methodology for working up a patient with congenital nystagmus, considering first whether the child has good or poor vision, and then whether any clues can be elucidated during clinical examination.
