Do you have great flashcards, mnemonics or other helpful study tips you developed to survive residency? The Academy invites YOs to submit their best educational pearls and study resources for residents in ophthalmology through the
Resident Knowledge Exchange.
The Resident Knowledge Exchange provides residents with study materials and learning tools as they advance through their ophthalmic residency training. Use this site to view and share study materials for residents, and engage in discussions with your peers about resident education.
We’re looking for the best overall submissions and will award the top contestant for his/her contributions to the community.
The top contestant will receive a VR headset, a chance to present at one of the YO Events during AAO 2023, plus acknowledgment in Academy social media, and publications such as Academy Express, EyeNet, and YO Info.
Submissions will be judged by the following merits:
- Educational value for residents
- Accuracy
- Creativity
- Overall number of contributions
The contest is open to all Academy YO members (members in training and those in the first five years of practice). To enter, submit your content to the Resident Knowledge Exchange between March 30 and June 15, with the tag “2023 Contest Entry.” Winning submission to be announced in July.
Examples of what we’re looking for include mnemonics (textual and visual), flashcards, images, quick videos and more. Samples demonstrated below; browse the
Resident Knowledge Exchange for more examples.
