In response to the devastation caused by hurricanes and earthquakes in 2017, the American Academy of Ophthalmology and the Pan-American Association of Ophthalmology established the Emergency Relief Fund. After disasters, our goal is to help those in affected areas to get the services and help they need. We put your tax-deductible donations to good use – 100 percent of the funds raised go to Americares hurricane relief.
The Academy shared information about what ophthalmic industry leaders offered as support to practices and patients following the devastating hurricanes and earthquakes in August and September 2017.
