Can I have cataract surgery with a stable keratoconus eye?
Generally, this is not an issue, although it can be a little tricky calculating the correct intraocular lens to get the best refractive result. However, if there is a significant cataract in the setting of stable keratoconus then cataract surgery can certainly be performed with excellent results.
