Can I have intraocular lenses from two different companies placed in my eyes?
MAY 08, 2016
It is common for patients to have intraocular lenses from different manufacturers in their eyes and this should cause you no problems. Your surgeon should be able to advise you on compatibility. Most ophthalmologists wait two to three weeks between eyes. When you see a surgeon for surgery on the second eye, it would be helpful to that second surgeon if you bring the information of the lens implant used on the first eye.
