  • Is there anyway to get rid of the glossy look from eye drops?

    Question:

I've had frontalis sling (eyelid surgery) done in my right eyelid due to a droopy eyelid. The sling keeps my eyelid open but does limit my movement of the lid; for instance it doesn't close all the way when I sleep. Because of this I use a lot of moisture eye drops. Even though I use these eye drops my eye is always glossy—is there any way to get rid of the glossy look?

    Answer:

The glossy or glassy look may be related to the necessary lubrication that you use, or a bit of underlying swelling from using too few drops. It is challenging to find the perfect level of moisture required to keep your eye healthy, but that also allows you to see clearly through the thickness of the lubricant.
