Can I use one contact lens for astigmatism and another non-astigmatic brand lens for the other?

Answer:
This is a common and standard practice. If the astigmatism is great enough to require correction (greater than 0.75 power), then a contact lens is available to correct this. This will balance nicely with the correction for your other eye which has minimal to no astigmatism. Eyeglasses will do this also and you should have a back-up pair to use when not wearing contacts.
