Can Plaquenil cause a macular pucker?
While Plaquenil can cause toxicity (damage) to the macula, it will not cause a macular pucker. If you are on Plaquenil, it is recommended that you have your retina checked regularly by an ophthalmologist, including imaging studies, which can help find damage to the macula.
