Question:
I was at the optometrist having my yearly eye exam and was told I have a cataract in my right eye. I am in my early 20's—should I be concerned?
Answer:
Cataracts can occur in young patients for a variety of reasons. You can ask your eye doctor regarding your own eye. If they are advanced enough, cataracts are surgically treatable as long as an operation is expected to restore lost vision.
