  • Do they make contact lenses that can make me look cross-eyed?

    I am going to be doing a play in which I am supposed to be cross-eyed. Would it be possible to have contacts made that would allow me to appear cross-eyed in the right or left eye only and still not have double vision?


    Answer:

    I don't know of any technology which can do this. It is possible that some sort of custom made contact lens could be made that could be painted and designed to give this look. There are custom contact lens manufacturers that make contact lenses that create dramatic cosmetic effects that are used in movies or for other cosmetic needs. Be sure to have custom or any colored contact lenses fit by an eye care professional to prevent infection and vision loss.
