How can I treat iridonesis after cataract surgery?
MAY 26, 2017
Question:
I had cataract surgery two months ago, and I was left with iridonesis. My iris jiggles constantly. What can be done to solve or reduce this problem?
Answer:
I would have to exactly see what's going on. Do you have visual symptoms from this or is it a cosmetic problem? Also, is the pupil a normal size and does it react properly to light? The treatment would depend on these issues. If the vision is good and the eye is healing well without issues, I would not do anything for this for at least six months or more from the date of surgery. If this becomes a persistent or difficult problem for you, the options range from drops to possible iris suture. Ask your ophthalmologist about the proper treatment.
