Question:
How do you measure the size of pannus under a slit lamp?
Answer:
Sizes of lesions such as pannus (a growth of small blood vessels on the normally clear cornea, or outer layer of eye) can be accurately measured using a slit lamp by adjusting the length of the slit beam. There is a ruler next to the adjustment knob of the slit beam that is visible to the doctor or technician.
