  • How successful is laser for dry AMD?

    Question:
How successful is laser for dry AMD?

    Answer:
The research performed to date suggests that in the long-term, laser treatment does not significantly decrease the rate of progression or severity of dry age-related macular degeneration (AMD). There is ongoing research into several treatments for dry AMD, which will hopefully provide us with a new treatment for dry AMD in the near future.
